All monies received from the business partners will go to the independent charity behind the event Big Difference Company.

Riverside Housing at Rockingham Road, Corby

rg+p are delighted to have been involved in the provision of 49 affordable homes and flats for Riverside Housing at Rockingham Road, Corby. Westleigh Developments have handed the final phase over to Riverside last week to allow residents to move in before Xmas.
rg+p acted as Employer’s Agent, Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor and CDM Co-ordinator.

Contracts Signed on Major Redevelopment Project in Hinckley

Leicester-based architectural practice, rg+p Ltd has formally signed contracts with MRP Hinckley No.1 LP to oversee a major redevelopment project in the centre of Hinckley.
The multi-disciplinary practice has been appointed to act as employer’s agent, quantity surveyor, party wall assessor and construction, design and management co-ordinator (CDM), on the substantial refurbishment and extension of the former Flude Hosiery Factory on Hawley Road.
To be constructed by Hallam Contracts Ltd, the scheme has been designed to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and when complete in January 2013, will form a public sector hub for Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, Leicester County Council and other public sector partners. The new Council civic suite will double up as a training and conference facility for local businesses.
Mitch Dale, director, rg+p Ltd said: “This is a fabulous project and we are delighted to be taking such a pivotal role in the regeneration of this site.
“Today’s contracts signing marks the beginning of a very exciting time for Hinckley, its residents and the Council and I am looking forward to seeing the scheme come to fruition.”
Richard Anderson, director, MRP said: “We are very pleased to be working with rg+p, Hallam Contracts and Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council on this project. This is a genuine co-location ‘hub’ for public sector partners in a highly sustainable building and an exciting new model for the delivery of public services in Hinckley.“

Cherry Orchard Planning Approval

The scheme is 18 houses for Riverside Housing Association built by Westleigh Developments alongside a new club house for the Trustees of Thringstone Miners Welfare Club on the site of the existing club house grounds.
The housing has funding from the HCA and also from North West Leicester District Council.
All of the units have achieved Code Level 3.
Rg+p acted as Employer’s Agent, CDM-C, HQI Assessor and Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor for the housing and CDM-C for the club house.

It was a proud moment for the rg+p team, as The Wolsey, one of the Practice’s largest affordable housing projects to date, was officially opened by Leicester’s City Mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby at a celebratory ceremony attended by VIPs, local councillors, new residents and their families.
Developed by housing and regeneration group, LHA-ASRA in partnership with contractor and developer William Davis Ltd, the £14.4m project has breathed new life into a former knitwear factory in the heart of Leicester and now provides 63 Extra-Care and 40 affordable new homes.
