Our Approach

No one project is ever the same, therefore the rg+p service is customised to every project whether it requires one service or a combination. We are committed to service excellence on all jobs regardless of their size. Each job is director-led with internal team leaders to ensure that our service adheres fully to our solid quality management system.

We pride ourselves on consistency of service whilst offering the client flexibility in the way they utilise our services. Depending on the procurement route we can assist in different roles, either as a combined team or as separate disciplines. We have a 'clientcentric' infrastructure that ensures the client is supported at every stage of the development and construction process. Positive, open relationships with our clients are key to a successful development. Our business is built on relationships, with our clients, work colleagues and fellow professional organisations. We are a friendly practice and never underestimate the importance of 'listening' to the client to ensure they get exactly what they want and pay for.

Housing

Private Housing, Apartments, Social Housing, Student Housing

A high percentage of our work comes from housing, in its various forms; we work with large housing developers, RSLs and private developers on schemes of varying size and style.

Housing Associations When rg+p began over 30 years ago the client base was mainly Housing Associations. A large percentage of our work today still comes from the relationships we have built.

We work in partnership with a number of Housing Associations and have completed over 900 projects.

Student Housing Recent student accommodation includes a development on the same site as the Masonic Hall in Nottingham and the Benjamin Russell building in Leicester to provide multi level student accommodation.

Commercial

Retail, Industrial, Offices

rg+p have a strong background in office design and mixed use buildings. We have experience in new build office schemes as well as refurbishments. rg+p have designed multi purpose industrial units, car showrooms and retail blocks. We are currently working on a number of key mixed use developments throughout the Midlands

Education

Nurseries, Schools, Colleges

We have worked on nurseries, schools and colleges throughout the Midlands, including Rutland College and The Belgrave Playhouse.

Community

Village Halls, Community Centers

Recent community projects include The Dawn Centre in Leicester and The Albion Night Shelter in Nottingham. Both of these developments offer over night accommodation and facilities for homeless people.

Health

Hospital, Care Homes

We carry out various health care related projects from doctors surgeries to specialist NHS projects in hospitals; examples include the Linear Accelerator Unit at Northampton General Hospital. Work has included the Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Northamptonshire, which is a new build hospice for both day visit and in-stay patients.

Leisure

Pubs/Restaurants, Bars, Night Clubs, Health and Fitness

A recent leisure project was the Greens Health and Fitness Centre in Leicester. The project redeveloped an old textile mills brown field site into a mixed use development.

Buildings of Worship

Places of worship

We carry out repairs and restoration projects on churches and places of worship. We also carry out quinquiennial inspections. Projects have included The Jain Centre in Leicester which involved the conversion of Wesleyan church to form a Jain Temple.

Conservation and Restoration

We have worked on numerous projects that have involved restoration and conservation, in particular the Old Grammar School in Leicester's Shires East development (see case study). We carry out quinquiennial inspections of churches and advise on ways to maintain or reuse a building whilst protecting period features.
