Bluebell Court is an affordable retirement living development in the heart of Lichfield. Located within a conservation area and adjacent a Grade II listed Georgian house, the design was carefully considered to remain in keeping with the neighbourhood yet develop its own identity. The three-storey building is primarily clad in clay but variations on the façade are formed through differing brick, tile and terracotta materials. A further challenge for the design was the site’s topography and large existing trees, which were all maintained and used to form the centrepiece for communal gardens.
