Lincoln Western Growth Corridor

Location - Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Client - City of Lincoln Council, Willmott Dixon

Our Role - Masterplanning, Architecture, Urban Design

Part of a strategic development initiative led by the City of Lincoln Council, the Lincoln Western Growth Corridor proposes a sustainable new community across 240 acres west of the city centre. By focusing on improvements to public transport and the provision of more cycle/walking routes, the intention is to reduce car dependency and provide high density urban living for up to 3,200 homes together with local services, commercial space, sports facilities and public open space.

Taking inspiration from the contrasting character of Lincoln and its surrounding landscape, the design concept for this phase has re-interpreted these contrasts and proposes a mix of townhouses and apartments arranged around shared streets and green spaces.
