£17m revamp for former Fenwick Building

Work on the conversion of the former Fenwick building in Leicester is set to commence in the New Year. On behalf of Aimrok Holdings, we have designed a £17m mixed use scheme comprising 121 bed aparthotel, lobby bar, restaurant & gym together with a series of ground floor and basement commercial units. The building will be renamed The Gresham, in a historic nod to its original name.

Leicester City Council has announced an investment of £450,000 to facilitate 12,000 sq ft of the ground floor office space, which is intended for use by entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses.

We designed The Gresham to honour the building’s history by emphasising some of its period features while simultaneously creating high quality residential and commercial space. Materials such as metal panelling, stainless steel and powder coated window frames have been incorporated to achieve this.
