Residential Layout Designer

We are currently recruiting for a full time Residential Layout Designer to work in our Leicester office.

The candidate is required to have…

  • a degree (or equivalent) in Architecture, ideally with a postgraduate degree/diploma in Urban Design/Planning

  • a passion for residential architectural design

  • a good understanding of urban design principles

  • the ability to produce consistently attractive layouts

  • knowledge of commercially viable layouts with regard to mix and coverage

  • a proven track record in design for the housing industry

  • knowledge and understanding of UK planning policy

  • good comprehension of the UK Building Regulations

  • a good knowledge of ArchiCAD, Adobe Photoshop & InDesign or an ability to learn new software quickly

  • the initiative to work both independently and as part of a team

  • excellent time management skills

  • knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes

  • the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines

  • excellent communication skills
